Lich
Hero Type: The Scourge
These Liches possessed tremendous magical powers, yet their immortal, undead bodies were bound to the iron will of Ner'zhul. Since the Liches showed unswerving loyalty to their master, Ner'zhul granted them control over the furious elements of the cold north.

Skills/Spells:
Disenchant - an area of effect dispel magic spell.
Frost Armor - Attackers take cold damage when they strike anything wearing Frost Armor.
Glacier - An area of effect spell that calls up a Glacier out of the ground to strike and chill anything within its radius.
Summon Frost Wyrm - The Lich, upon attaining Level 5, will be able to summon the powerful Frost Wyrm from a corpse.

Sound:

Tauren Chieftain
Hero Type: The Horde
Ceremoniously decked with the ancient totems of their Tribes, Chiefs uphold the honor and simplicity of Tauren culture. When roused by battle, the gigantic Chiefs employ enormous warblades which are capable of tearing through solid trees with one mighty swipe.

Skills/Spells:
War Stomp - The Tauren Chieftain smashes his foot down, sending a rippling shockwave across the ground. Upgradeable
Ancestral Guardian - a totem is placed, summoning a user-piloted floating ball of light that attacks a target. Upgradeable, and upgrades may increase either its range from the totem, or its life or strength.
Command Aura - Area of effect (AOE) aura that boost units' attack ratings. (This is a former Warlord spell) Upgradeable
Reincarnation - If, upon death, the Tauren Chieftain has full mana, he will reappear ready to battle again, at the cost of all mana. Non-upgradeable.

Sound:

Blade Master
Hero Type: The Horde
Though their numbers are few, the seasoned Blademasters represent an elite fighting force within the Horde. These skilled swordsmen were once part of the ill-fated Burning Blade Clan which consumed itself in the throes of Demonic corruption.

Skills/Spells:
Wind Walk - Cast a cloak of invisibility upon the Blademaster. Mana drains during its use. Upgradeable
Critical Strike - An strike that inflicts greatly-increased damage per blow. Passive. Upgradeable
Mirror Image - Creates a duplicate of the Blademaster. The images can move and can be directed, but cannot attack. Upgradeable
Whirlwind - Sends the Blademaster out on a whirling dervish-like circular pattern of death and destruction. Like the Diablo II skill, the Blademaster's Whirlwind is on a timer. Not upgradeable.

Sound:

Ranger
Hero Type: The Alliance
These fearless Half-Elven women are masters of survival and wilderness exploration. Trained to hunt down renegade Orcs and Trolls in the wildlands of both Azeroth and Lordaeron, the Rangers are a force to be reckoned with.

Skills/Spells:
Flaming Arrow - Adds fire damage to arrows.
Cold Arrow - Adds cold damage to arrows. It is will chill the enemy and slow it, but will not completely stop it.
Swiftness Aura - This aura will boost the Ranger's speed as well as those within its area of effect.
Black Arrow - Stuns the unit and lowers its Health Points to 1, but does not kill it outright. Therefore the hero or unit is in a form of "statis" where he/she cannot be revived, cannot be sacrificed, and cannot be resurrected.

Sound:

Mountain King
Hero Type: The Alliance
The Mountain Kings, or 'Thanes' as they are known in Khaz Modan, are the mightiest Dwarven warriors under the mountain. Wielding both enchanted warhammers and hand axes, these fierce fighters live to test themselves against worthy opponents.

Skills/Spells:
Avatar Unknown effect/capability.
Thunderclap Similar to the Warstomp ability, Thunderclap allows the Mountain King to smash his hammer into the ground, creating a shockwave.
Thunderbolt A hammer-throwing attack skill.
Create Gold Mine - The Mountain King will be able to ease the "resource crunch" for his team by creating a gold mine on the spot.
Strength Advancement - The King grows stronger and larger with each level advancement. His skin will reflect this advancement by changing bit by bit until it becomes stone. At its highest level the dwarf will be huge and completely stone.
Giant Slayer - This unit's designation as a Giant Slayer indicates that he has special abilities against all units in the Giant category.

Sound:

Keeper of the Grove
Hero Type: Night Elves
The enchanted Keepers are the favored sons of the demigod Cenarius. Like their lesser Dryad sisters, the Keepers appear to be half Night Elf, half stag.

Skills/Spells:
Nature's Touch - This spell allows a Keeper of the Grove to either strip a forest of trees, or regrow trees on any stumps that are present. Upgradeable (most probably to increase the size of area affected by the spell.)
Thorns Aura - Like the spell in Diablo II, the Thorns Aura is a defensive mechanism whereby when the Keeper and his allies are struck, the enemy sustains damage. Because the Night Elves currently have only one melee unit, this aura helps decrease their vulnerability. Upgradeable
Strangle Vines - The Keeper can set traps in the form of Strangle Vines which will poison-attack any enemy units that walk near them. Enemy movement will also be impaired by the Vines. Upgradeable
Tranquility - Wipes the entire map of all spells, both positive and negative. Auras and other passive spells will restart themselves right away, but this is a powerful anti-magic tool, if the price paid in the loss of friendly spells is not too great. Non-upgradeable.

Sound:

Demon Hunter
Hero Type: Night Elves
Demon Hunters are dark, shadowy warriors who are shunned by the greater Night Elf society. They made a pact, long ago, to fight against the forces of chaos using its own terrible powers against it. These mysterious warriors ritually blind themselves so that they develop 'spectral sight' that enables them to see demons and undead with greater clarity.

Skills/Spells:
Soul Siphon - A psionic attack, this spell will drain mana from the targeted unit and convert it into health for the Demon Hunter. Upgradeable
Mind Lock - Prevents the affected unit from casting any spells while under its influence. Believed to be a targeted and not an area of effect spell. Upgradeable
Flame Blades - described at E3 as a "high damage directed attack," it is very powerful against the enemy. Upgradeable
Metamorphosis - Only sketchy information available at present, but this spells allows the Demon Hunter to change into a new form.
